Small Groups are the best way to get connected at Covenant. There are a variety of groups that meet for the purpose of encouraging spiritual growth through significant relationships. Through studying God's Word, fellowship, prayer and sharing in each others joys and struggles, we grow deeper in community with one another and with God.
Why Small Groups?
Small groups have a very simple purpose - to bring people together. God created us to live in a community together with others and experience a full life that He intended. Meaningful relationships are often difficult to find. We therefore have small groups to make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible.
What is a Small Group?
A small group is what you make it. Typically it's a small group of people that share a common interest, perhaps at the same stage of life or Christian journey, or want to just have fun with others. People gather for all sorts of reasons. It doesn't matter whether it just meeting for coffee every so often, playing a sport, engaging in hobbies, having lunch during the week, studying the Bible together, or taking walks in the park. It's not what you meet about, it's that you're meeting regularly with others living in a community as God designed you to do.
Why you should join a Small Group?
It's life together and sharing good times and bad that bring us closer to each other and God. God uses others to bring support and encouragement into our lives. You may not even realize it that you need it, your small group will quickly become a place where others don't just know your name, they sincerely care about what's happening in your life and want to support you on your spiritual journey.
Lead a Group
Leading a group is a great way to meet others with similar interest. It's also a way of contributing to the church family. Simply choose a subject or activity that interests you. Then choose a time and place to meet and share it with others. At Covenant, we believe people's lives are changed by moving one step at a time towards Christ. As a Small Group Leader, you get to be an important part of that
