Dear Members and Friends of Covenant Community Church,
We hope this finds you well and blessed. We have missed seeing you regularly during this time of Covid, but we have been praying for you and your family. We hope you have taken the opportunity for fellowship and connections, in different ways. We hope that despite the unexpected circumstances, God has surprised you with His faithfulness.
This has been a year like no other with the closing of churches, businesses and thousands being laid off. God still provided for the needs of Covenant this year through the continual generous giving of the congregation. We are so grateful to you for your steady support. We have also been blessed with the CARES Act Paycheck Protection Program monies ($55,000) and Verizon monthly rental of $1,750 to ensure that God’s mission and ministry are fulfilled.
It is time to begin planning for 2021. God’s work is accomplished entirely through the time, talent and financial resources of our staff and congregation. Thank you for being a partner in the ministry and mission of Covenant Community Church. Your ongoing financial contributions are making a difference in the lives of so many people! As a congregation, it is the time of year when we determine what we will contribute monetarily in the coming year. The practice of exercising financial stewardship is a spiritual discipline and a way to grow your faith. There is joy to be found in practicing generosity that occurs after praying for the Lord’s leading as you take a simple step of commitment to contribute.
We ask you to prayerfully consider your tithe to our church. Tithing is the way in which we show God our gratitude for His bountiful gifts. When we tithe God takes our gifts and returns it to us in various wonderful ways, especially through the way our faith is nurtured. After praying and considering your gift, please complete your pledge card and bring it to church, or email/mail it, by October 25th, 2020.
Thank you again for your support of Covenant Community Church. It is through your generosity that the work of the Lord continues through our church.
In His Love,
The CCC Stewardship Committee
