Welcome to Ripple Effect, Covenant Community Church's middle school and high school ministry. Our mission is crystal clear: “to reach students and help them walk with God.”
We don’t believe that teenagers are merely the future of the Church; we believe they are vital members of the church NOW! And our goal here is to help each student realize who God has created him or her to be.
We have three main ways to help students get plugged in: the Sunday night meeting, small groups, and special events:
Our large group meeting, nicknamed “This Nameless Event,” is held in the youth trailer on Sunday evenings. Middle School students (6th-8th grades) meet from 4:15 to 5:45 and High School students meet from 6:00-7:30. During this time we have a live band, games, trivia, hang-out time, ridiculous videos, and a message that is designed to help teenagers figure life out.
During the school year high school small groups meet on Thursdays at Melissa's house. Small groups are a great place for students to share what’s going on in their lives, process what was communicated during the message, and just do life together. The 6th-8th-grade ministry is located in the youth trailer from 9:00-10:00 AM on Sunday mornings. It is a place for 6th-8th graders to gather to discuss their lives, tell funny stories, study God’s Word, have small groups and share prayer requests. It's a very laid-back environment and a good place for new students to crash.
The high school ministry meets in the Youth office from 9:00-10:00am on Sundays for a small gathering.
As for our special events, we have a lot of great ones... In a typical year, you can expect guys events, girls events, a high school mission trip, a middle school camp, a high school camp, a leadership camp, a Halloween community service event, a Christmas party, and an event wrapped around the idea of helping find a cure for world hunger.
